Being led by God, Karl Skinner and his wife Cindy began the ministry of Battlefield Baptist Church in the fall of 1980. The Church began meeting in a local Seventh Day Adventist Church building until October of 1982. At that time, the congregation purchased the Huntingwood Motel. In May of the following year, the church broke ground on a new 500 seat auditorium. After the building was completed, a tornado tore off the roof, and the membership voted at that time to enlarge the building to its present size. The Lord has abundantly blessed over the years, and we give Him the praise for it all. In November of 2013, the people of Battlefield voted nearly unanimously to call Greg Corcoran to serve as their senior pastor. Excited about the future, the church moved forward at the end of 2014 to finish the remaining 16,000 sq. ft. of space located on the second floor of the education building. This newly finished space was dedicated in November of 2015 for Children's and Youth Ministry. Today, Battlefield Baptist Church is a great place to get to know people. We are truly a family! When you come to Battlefield, you will receive a warm welcome like none other. It is our desire that you find Battlefield to be a friendly place, where you are always considered our honored guest! From the nursery up through our adult ministry, our church family is dedicated to helping others fall more in love with God while falling more in love with His Word, and one another. We feel that our commitment to building meaningful relationships is what makes Battlefield such a special place to worship and serve.

A practice.⁣⁣ The best news? You don't need to FEEL grateful to BE grateful.⁣⁣ Because gratitude was never meant to be a feeling at all.
